Soon you'll start having to distinguish between the "older kids" and the "younger kids". I am unsure as to what is next after that stage?
Possibly certain features of them could be used to group them or refer to them accordingly such as in our home, ie. "Gingers" vs "The Other One". However this system is flawed when implemented with extended relatives. We would have an airport shuttle bus full of "Gingers" coming home with us using those terms at a family gathering.
For now stick to "the kids", it's all inclusive, non-discriminating, and afterall that's what Canada is all about.
