Baking with Auntie Katie
When Brad & Katie were up visiting during Stampede Week, Katie introduced us to one of her family traditions -- cookie dough sculptures. She made up a big batch of sugar cookie dough split into several different colours.
The kids had a fabulous time making all sorts of funny shapes and sculptures that were eventually baked in the oven and eaten. One of my favourites was Hayden's volcano, which was a huge lump of dough that never really cooked all the way through. Little Katie made a very cute bird's nest filled with orange bird eggs. Great activity, auntie Katie!
