Spring & Winter In The Foothills

I went camping with the boy scouts this weekend in the foothills near Calgary, in a spot called Waiparous. It was a great spot and the weather forecast called for less than 1 cm of snow overnight.

I think we had a little more than 1 cm by morning:

We had twice as much snow by the time we rolled out of there in the afternoon.

Spring and Winter camp in one. Now you just have to do a summer and you are done for the year

Thought about you and Rachelle yesterday (oh, think of you often) but your blog reminded me. In the paper yesterday there was a picture: wrought iron fence, an adult pedestrian walking on the sidewalk holding an umbrella, and there were snow banks on each side of her on the sidewalk up to her elbows! That was in Ottawa. (Aren't you glad you moved?) And it must have moved toward Calgary, but not all the 14 feet they have gotten. Hope you enjoyed the camp out, though!
