How often do you get a chance to take a picture with a cheque this size? I went to the Calgary Society of Financial Analysts Annual Forecast Dinner last night and our group received this donation from the proceeds of the dinner. The amount will be used to increase the size of the portfolio that we manage as part of our finance education.
We also snapped this picture with the new Dean of the Business School, Dr. Leonard Waverman. He's just arrived in Calgary from the London Business School. He was very pleasant and quite willing to pose with us.

Way to go ! Can you really deposit a check like that or do they give you a little one. If think you should take the big one to the bank with an equally large deposit slip.
You should have held the good Dr. up like the check in the first picture, and he could have been holding the check, and then you could have put the picture on the cover of the Calgary Society of Financial Analysts Weekly, and the caption could have been "Cheque This Out!"
Chalk it up to a missed opportunity I guess.
Actually, someone suggested that we pose like that, but we'd already deposited the cheque into a bank machine nearby. It required 3 people, a hammer and hacksaw, but we got it in there.
