Canada Day at Calaway

We started our Canada Day with an early-morning trip to Calaway Park for some rides and the requisite cotton candy (courtesy of Grandpa M).





We were at the gates before it opened and hit all the good rides before lunchtime. I even went on some adult rides. Katie mainly watched everyone from the sidelines. We tried Katie on a few rides early in the season and she mostly cried. Instead, we mostly let her watch Scott go on the rides, which she seems to enjoy. She likes to watch for him to come by and wave. However, one time when she heard everyone on the freefall ride screaming, she got freaked out and started to bawl. This time when we went on, I tried to make sure she could see that we were being entertained on the ride, rather than tortured. In response, she stood up in her stroller and started to cheer along.
