Today I added a segment on the sidebar that counts down to the due date. As of today, there are 75 daysleft until May 7. When I pointed this out to R, she was freaked out.
I'll tell her not to look at the right part of the screen from now on.

Whenever we are looking forward to a particular day, Gary likes to count back that many days to see what day that was and what we were doing then. One of us inevitably follows with the comment: "Wow, that doesn't seem that long ago." This little exercise seems to make the amount of time we have to wait appear shorter. 75 days ago was December 7. Wow, that doesn't seem that long ago!
Hope that didn't throw R completely over the edge!
Tell R to delay the date till May 10th. I heard it through the grapevine that some of the greatest people ever have been born on that day.
