Whoosh, Whoosh, Bang, Bang

WEEK
14
It's been 99 days since the birth. I wonder if that means it's been 99 days since we dropped off the face of the earth. That's how I always pictured it -- kind of a "whoosh".

When you're a single guy, most of your friends disappear after they get married. They become wrapped up in a new phase of life and they tend to vanish. The same kind of thing happens when those friends have kids. Suddenly, it's easier to stay home or do kiddie stuff than it is to go out and paint the town. BabyCenter can back me up on this:
Sometimes old friends who have no children are as delighted by your baby as you are, and aside from a few accommodations to your schedule, things continue as they once did. But others may not be as excited about your new phase of life.

Well, our new stage of life involves a lot of big trucks and moving boxes, so hopefully there are plenty of other things for us to talk about with our friends.

...but not today. Today I have a video of Scott playing with a baby rattle. BabyCenter has been pretty focused lately on coordination and batting at toys, so why not provide a little video to help with the illustration?

Shortly after this was shot, I swapped that hard plastic toy bar for a soft fabric one. I thought some of his "playing" looked kind of painful.

Hard plastic will make him tough, like his dad.

He's very intent on hitting his toys -- shows promising levels of concentration, I think. He's bound for brilliance. Cute shirt, by the way! :)

It seems that with each video he just gets cuter. How can that be when he was so high on the cute meter to start with ?!?!
