After three hard weeks of renovations, the house is finally finished. In response to abnormally high call volumes, I have agreed to provide some photos of the work that we did. Mostly, I have pictures of the basement, since the upstairs is still in total disarray. This basement is also where the changes were most dramatic, especially the new kitchen. Here is the kitchen in various stages:

We are quite pleased with the way things turned out. Most of all, we are pleased that it is over. The whole clan managed to get sick the last few days, so we all collapsed this weekend. It's nice to think that tomorrow we can focus on unpacking boxes instead of plumbing and drywall.

looks good! So your kitchen is in the basement? Or is this a "spare"? Never heard of that before.... then again I'd never been in a basement till 4 years ago!

There's a kitchen upstairs, as well. We bought a place that had what is called a "mother-in-law suite" downstairs. It's an unofficial apartment of sorts.
No, my mother-in-law does not live down there.
