We met with a consultant at the hospital on Saturday, and had a follow-up appointment today to examine Scott's progress. Since Saturday, he has already gained 200 grams (7.5 oz or 0.44 lbs), fully half of the weight that he lost after birth. The consultant was somewhat startled at the rate of increase, and told us not to worry at all because Scott is getting all the milk that he needs.
He certainly is getting a lot of milk. I have the dirty diapers to prove it.It's funny to watch him when he's taken his fill of milk. He closes his eyes and goes quite limp. It often seems a shame to burp him or put his sleeper back on because it usually disturbs his trance.
We decided that he might need some fresh air to clear his head, so we took the Zooper out for its maiden voyage around the neighbourhood. The vehicle handled quite nicely and Scott seemed to enjoy the jaunt, despite being buried under 2 blankets with the canopy closed.

Hey you two, Congratulations indeed. So I hear you are moving back to Calgary... when..?
The weather started to get worse when we went out for a walk, and it's much easier to put on a jacket than it is to pull on snowpants.
At least, that's how I see it.
Well, we finally see Rachelle smiling at Scott!! Waiting to see Helen doing the same - I think she was recruited to just hold him to show off his lack of a stump! Glad the "vehicle" worked well. And glad that Scott is wearing some of his uncle's clothes. Should make him feel important, right??
